Credit Preferences and Course Load Preferences
Most college courses count as 3 credit hours, but some math and science courses can be up to 4 or 5 credits. Before selecting the number of credits you want to register for, please consider the following:
To be considered a full-time student, you must be registered for at least 12 credit hours (typically 4 classes).
15 credit hours per semester is the average course load needed to graduate with a bachelor's degree in 4 years.
Eligibility for full financial aid awards, grants, and many scholarships are dependent on full-time enrollment. Registering for fewer than 12 credit hours could impact your financial aid.
Consider your school-work-life balance. Multiply your total credit hours by three to get the average hours of coursework expected per week.
How many credit hours do you want to register for in the Fall 2024 semester?
How many credit hours do you want to register for in the Fall 2024 semester?
0-5 : part-time, limited/no financial aid
6-11 : part-time
12-14 : full-time
15+ : full-time and on-pace to graduate in 4 years
Do you have college credits already earned through concurrent enrollment, senior-to-sophomore, AP exams, or IB exams?

What college courses have you already taken and passed, or what AP or IB exams will you take?

Please note that if you have college credits earned through concurrent enrollment or STS earned from another institution (PCC, PPSC, etc.) that is NOT from CSU Pueblo, or if you have AP or IB exam scores, you will need to order official transcripts or score reports to be sent to CSU Pueblo, info@csupueblo.edu
